Artist Research - Gilbert & George

Gilbert & George are best known for their brightly coloured graphic-style photo-based pieces. Their large scale photos called The Pictures are well known, as the early style of it was black & white whereas colour starting with red & yellow was created later. The largest series of work called 'Jack Freak Pictures' is described as "the most iconic, philosophically astute and visually violent works that Gilbert & George have ever created".
